All magazines and TV programs mention this topic today and there are different versions. This morning they asured in Tele-Madrid that Capello had been asked to leave and Bernd Schuster was going to be the new coach. This afternoon things have changed again and it seems that Capello will continue, having Mijativic´s support. We will have to wait.

Yesterday the players and their coaches went to the Town Hall and the Community where they were received by the mayor, Ruiz Gallardon, and the President of the Community, Esperanza Aguirre. Many people were waiting for their appearance on the terrace looking onto the Plaza de la Villa. Afterwards they went to the Cathedral of teh Almudena to offer their trophy to the Virgen, Madrid´s saint patron.

After a complicated and difficult  year, finally the victory arrived. A thrilling game, with an uncertain result until the last part, has proven that the Real Madrid is really an unbelievable team. June, 17 will be a day to remember!

Fireworks at the Bernabeu Stadium, a great goodbye for David Beckham and Roberto Carlos who are both part of the Real Madrid´s history now.

People on the streets, going to the Plaza de la Cibeles to celebrate this championship. Cars blowing their horns. More than a million people are expected to join around the fountain to celebrate with the players.

In 2005 the Metro-Library was inaugurated. In that year over 32.000 books were lent, in 2006 the numer increased to 48.000.
The libraries are in following stations: Nuevos Ministerios, Canal, Moncloa, Aluche, Embajadores and Legazpi.
The offer includes 700 titles, among htem books by Paul Auster, Noah Gordon and Perez Reverte.

This service is free.

In these station you will find stands where you can borrow the books. To get them, just show your I.D. and you will get your library card immediately. This card gives you also access to all libraries belonging to the Community.
With this card you can get any of the books available, one book each time, and keep it for a fortnight. If you want, you can ask for another two weeks if you have not finished the book.
Once read, you can return thebook at any of the libraries. It is not necessary to return ot, where you borrowed it.
The libraries are open from 14:00 to 20:00.

These fiestas start on June, 8th at 21:30 in the Parque de la Bombilla.
This year there will be concerts and dancing, activities for children and different contests.
On JUne, 13th at 07:00 there will be a “Solemnes Laudes” at the ermita of San Antonio. Afterwards, at 12:00 will be a mass sung by the choir of the Ciudad de los Poetas.
