Academy of Fine Arts

The Real Academia de Bellas Artes (Royal Academy of Fine Arts) is a splendid museum located in a beautiful palace.

It was founded by Felipe V, although it was in the times of Carlos III when it reached its splendour. He bought this palaceAcademy of Fine Arts
to house the academy.
All its members have donated works to it. Although it cannot be compared to the Manuel Godoy by GoyaPrado Museum  many interesting paintings by great artists are to be found in this museum.

One of the main paintings is the portrait of Manuel Godoy by Goya.
