Wollemia Nobilis in the Botanic Garden

Thanks to vitro reproduction, the Botanic Garden has been able to plant a Wollemia in its area. This plant had its origin in the Cretaceous period and was thought to be extinguished. But in 1994 some plants were found in the Blue Mountains in Australia. The Wollemi belongs to the pine family and can now be seen in Madrid.
